Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) is committed to providing active opportunities for students and the local stakeholders to take part in, and influence, decision making processes at all levels of University. ABUAD implements a wide range of programs to facilitate engagement of students and stakeholders through active participation regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability or gender.

  1. Policy supporting academic freedom

ABUAD’s central functions of teaching, scholarship and community service depend upon an atmosphere of academic freedom. ABUAD has put in place policies and procedures to ensure that all ABUAD faculty and researchers are entitled to full freedom in research and in the publication of the results in the discharge of their functions. Teachers are entitled to freedom in the classroom in discussing their subject, but they should not introduce into their teaching controversial matter that has no relation to their subject.

Corruption, Organized Crime and Anti-Bribery Code of Conduct for Afe Babalola University, Ado – Ekiti (ABUAD)

ABUAD Bribery Act 2020 received senate Assent in December 2019 and became law on 4th January 2020. The Act made radical changes to bribery and corruption practices and puts ABUAD Bribery Act amongst the strictest in the world.

In like manner, three (3) Research seminar series have been held having the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Research Innovation and Strategic Partnership (DVC, ARISP) as the Chairman of the University Research and Innovation Committee (URIC) while the Director ICT, Dr Adebayo Ogundipe is the Deputy Chairman. This provides a platform for the academic faculty members to meet, discuss, brainstorm, debate and agree on expertise advice that will ensure the fulfilment of SDGs in education and policies development.
